Meet the Team

Our team is scattered across the states with each of us respectively residing in Virginia, Arkansas, and North Carolina. Everyone on our team has served in East Africa for varying periods of time and in different capacities. Our collective desire is to lift Jesus high and watch Him draw all peoples to Himself.

Board of Directors

Love Africa Mission's Board of Directors is made up of those with a diverse background of experience. From a lawyer to a pastor to a software development, each board member affirms LAM's statement of faith and are invested in their respective local churches.

Earl Touchstone

A Texan since college, Earl resides in Houston with his wife Meredith.

They have six children, two daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law, and seven grandchildren. He is a partner at a law firm in Houston and serves as Chairman of the Board for Love Africa Mission.

Luke Schader

Luke lives in Columbia City, IN, with his wife Taylor and their two children. Luke has been involved with Love Africa Mission since 2021, when he went on his first trip to Kenya. Since then, he has served with the ministry in various ways providing administrative and supportive help.

David Winn

David, the president of Love Africa Mission, has worked with the ministry since 2012. His role is to identify and develop ministry partners in various countries in Africa, as well as oversee the day-to-day operations of the ministry. He lives in Ridgeway, VA, with his wife of 41 years, Janet. They have two children.

Shane Ashby

Shane currently resides in his hometown of Stoneville, NC, with his wife Ashley and their two children. Shane has worked in the utility power industry for over 15 years and has traveled throughout the US. When he is home, he loves to serve in his local church, coach baseball, and hunt with his children on their farm.

Layne Baugh

Layne calls Star City, Arkansas, home and has been involved with Love Africa Mission since August 2022. He serves as Discipleship Coordinator for LAM and oversees the pastors/laymen and women’s conferences. He and his wife Lori have four adult children, two daughters-in-law, and two precious grandchildren.

Eric Winn

Eric lives in Ridgeway, VA, with his wife Amy. They have two children, a daughter-in-law, and a special grandson. He has been a pastor for four years and serves as the pastor of Beulah Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, VA.

He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Divinity.

EJ Smith

E.J. and his wife Heather live in Belmont, NC, and have five children. He oversees his own engineering design business that helps to develop new products. He is also a partner in several businesses. As a board member, E.J. helps Love Africa Mission achieve long-term success with all of its projects.
